Friday The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus 27June 2025 The feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus points us to God’s love which we can see in Jesus’ kindness and care. Let us pray all may feel God’s love. (pause) God of love, open wide our hearts so that we might know the great love you make visible in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. We Gather May Christ smile graciously upon us. Amen. May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. We Go into the World The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. You, Lord, are my shepherd. I will never be in need. You let me rest in fields of green grass. You lead me to streams of peaceful water, and you refresh my life. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. You are true to your name, and you lead me along the right paths. I may walk through valleys as dark as death, but I won't be afraid. You are with me, and your shepherd's rod makes me feel safe. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. Your kindness and love will always be with me each day of my life, and I will live forever in your house, Lord. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. We Listen We Reflect The reading today is actually a ‘psalm’ which is a song from the Bible. It reminds us that like a shepherd cares for his sheep, God protects us and always does what is best for us. As psalms are written to be sung, we can join in singing this beautiful version of today’s psalm, called Goodness, Love and Mercy by Chris Tomlin. 108
