Praying Together With Children - 2025

We Go Forth We Respond We Pray Monday Week 14 Ordinary Time 7 July 2025 We Listen During this week we rejoice in Australia’s Aboriginal and Islander people. We recognise and affirm their culture and spiritual connection to the land. Let us remember them in prayer. (pause) God of all ages, unite all Australians in one family marked by mutual respect and love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark (13:24-27, 29, 32) Jesus said to his disciples: “The sun will become dark, and the moon will no longer shine. The stars will fall, and the powers in the sky will be shaken.’ Then the Son of Man will be seen coming in the clouds with great power and glory. He will send his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the earth. So when you see all these things happening, you will know that the time has almost come. No one knows the day or the time. The angels in heaven don’t know, and the Son himself doesn’t know. Only the Father knows.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. This week as we remember Australia’s indigenous people, we pray that God will bless our nation, Australia, and all the people who live here. Although we are many, we pray that God will unite us all in harmony. Listen together to the song, “I Am Australian” May the love of Christ burn in our hearts. Amen. May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 114
