DISMISSAL May the Holy Spirit enlighten us. Amen. May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. RESPONSE COLLECT SCRIPTURE MONDAY 14 JULY 2025 Week 15 Ordinary Time Let us pray that we will grow in the love of God and of one another. (pause) Loving Father, teach us to treat each person with respect and dignity and to spend time with anyone who needs our help. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (11:28-30) Then Jesus said: “If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. Close your eyes whilst your teacher reads... (The following questions should be read slowly for students, with significant pauses at the end of each sentence. Try to achieve a sense of stillness and silence and allow students to remain here for a couple of minutes.) Do you have a favourite place that you like to go to feel peaceful? Maybe it is your back garden, a special room in your house, or perhaps somewhere further away like the beach or a mountain. Imagine this place now as you let your mind and body be still. Breathe deeply. With each breath, imagine you are being filled with the peace and serenity of Jesus. 119
