(pause) Gracious God, we offer you our small acts of kindness as a daily token of our love for you. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. We Respond Trusting that our God is near, let us pray for the needs of the world. For those who show us how to be holy: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For those who need peace today: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For those who suffer from mental anguish: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For those who keep trying to be good: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For the prayers in our hearts today: (pause while students offer their prayers aloud) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. We Listen A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Philippians (4:8-9) My friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise. You know the teachings I gave you, and you know what you heard me say and saw me do. So follow my example, and God, who gives peace, will be with you. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. May the Holy Spirit enlighten us. Amen.
