THURSDAY 24 JULY 2025 We Gather... Let us pray that we will come with confidence to God in prayer. (pause) God of wisdom, you know us and love us. Be close to us and hear the prayers of all who call on you. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Week 16 Ordinary Time We Listen... A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (11:1-4) When Jesus had finished praying, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his followers to pray." So Jesus told them, "Pray in this way: Father, help us to honour your name. Come and set up your kingdom. Give us each day the food we need. Forgive our sins, as we forgive everyone who has done wrong to us. And keep us from being tempted.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. We Reflect... Confident that God is near to us, let us pray together with the prayer that Jesus taught us: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. We Go into the World...
