Monday Saint John Vianney Go forth The Word of God Reflect Let us Pray 4 August 2025 Saint John Vianney was a holy priest from a country parish in France. Let us pray for our priests. (pause) God, our shepherd, bless our priests with generous hearts and guide them in their pastoral care. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. May the light of Christ guide our way. Amen. May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (14:12-14) Jesus said to his disciples: “I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father. Ask me, and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son will bring honour to the Father. I will do whatever you ask me to do.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus told his disciples that they would do marvellous things if they had faith in him. Jesus has the same message for us today! Jesus will give you the strength you need to do great things. You can also spend some time moving your body and focusing your mind to feel strong and confident. Do this stretching exercise to grow your strength and confidence. 134
