Praying Together With Children - 2025

Wednesday Week 29 Ordinary Time 22 October 2025 We Gather We Listen We Reflect We Go into the World Let us pray that we may be joyful in faith. (pause) God our Creator, increase our faith in the saving power of Jesus, and guide us in sharing our faith with all we meet. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the book of the prophet Hosea (11:3-4) The Lord says this: I took my people by the hand and taught them to walk. I was the one who healed them, but they did not know it. I was loving and kind, and I made them want to come to me. I freed them from slavery and tenderly fed them. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. This Scripture passage from the book of Hosea reveals some of the wonderful qualities of God. God is loving, kind and tender. God is a healer who frees us from the things that tie us down and a teacher who nourishes us with good things. In response to this reading, let’s lift our voices in praise by singing Indescribable by Chris Tomlin. May the love and generosity of God guide our minds. Amen. May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 191
