Thursday Week 32 Ordinary Time Go forth The Word of God Let us Pray 13 November 2025 Let us pray that we will set our minds on God. (pause) Faithful God, inspire us to live generous lives and to stay close to you in prayer. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (21:34-36) Jesus said to his disciples: “Don’t spend all of your time thinking about eating or drinking or worrying about life. If you do, the final day will suddenly catch you like a trap. That day will surprise everyone on earth. Watch out and keep praying that you can escape all that is going to happen and that the Son of Man will be pleased with you.” The Gospel of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Reflect On more than one occasion in the bible, Jesus tells his disciples not to worry. Instead, he encourages them to pray and to try to live in a way that is pleasing to God. Breathing exercises are a great way to use your whole body to calm your mind when you are worried. Follow this breathing exercise, and then spend a minute in quiet prayer, asking Jesus to help you have a peaceful day. May the Spirit of wisdom inform our thoughts. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 207
