3 We Respond... 2 We Listen... 1 We Pray... Let us pray that Christ may be our light. (pause) Lord God, free us from darkness and let us live in Christ, the light of the world. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Can you imagine what it would be like to have been blind since the day you were born? To have never seen the faces of your friends or family members? To have never seen colours or everyday objects? The scripture passage we have just heard is an extract from John’s gospel about a blind man named Bartimaeus and the miracle of his healing. For an animated depiction of this scripture story, watch together the short video: Jesus Heals A Man Born Blind. A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (9:1, 5-7, 35-38) As Jesus walked along, he saw a man who had been blind since birth. Jesus said, "While I am in the world, I am the light for the world." After Jesus said this, he spat on the ground. He made some mud and smeared it on the man's eyes. Then he said, "Go and wash off the mud in Siloam Pool." The man went and washed in Siloam, which means One Who Is Sent. When he had washed off the mud, he could see. Later, Jesus went and found the man. Then Jesus asked, "Do you have faith in the Son of Man? " He replied, "Sir, if you will tell me who he is, I will put my faith in him." "You have already seen him," Jesus answered, "and right now he is talking with you." The man said, "Lord, I put my faith in you!" Then he worshipped Jesus. The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. 19 November 2025 Wednesday Week 33 Ordinary Time 4 We Go Forth... May God’s care keep us from all harm. Alleluia! Alleluia!
