SAINT ANDREW DŨNG-LạC AND COMPANIONS We gather We listen to God’s word Monday We respond We go forth We remember hundreds of brave Christians in Vietnam who suffered and died for what they believed. Let us pray for our brothers and sisters in Vietnam and for ourselves that God will make us strong in faith. (pause) God of peace, grant us courage and protection when we are hurt by violence. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the second letter of St Paul to the Corinthians (4:16-18) We never give up. Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are being made stronger each day. These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. Things that are seen don’t last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That’s why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. St Paul reminds us not to focus on our troubles or difficulties because they don’t last forever. One way to avoid thinking about our troubles is to think instead about the things we are grateful for. Spend a few moments sitting quietly, and try this Gratitude Meditation together. Take this sense of peaceful gratitude into your day. May the Lord bless us and keep us. Amen. May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 24 November 2025 214
