Praying Together With Children - 2025

As we begin our Advent journey let us pray. (pause) Almighty God, grant us the joy of seeing your promise and help us make a straight path for the coming of Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the second letter of St Paul to the Corinthians (1:3-4) Brothers and sisters: Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort. He comforts us when we are in trouble, so that we can share that same comfort with others in trouble. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Monday Week 1 Advent 1 December 2025 We Listen We Gather Can you remember a time when you were very sad and somebody comforted you? Who was it? What did that person do to make you feel better? When we are sad or in trouble, we can always turn to God for comfort. When we know how it feels to be comforted, we can share that kindness with others. The next time you notice someone who is upset, what could you do?
