WEDNESDAY Let us pray that God will grant us the joy of lasting peace. (pause) Faithful God, Pour out on us the spirit of understanding, truth and peace as we place all our hope in you. Week 7 Ordinary Time 26 February 2025 WE LISTEN TO GOD’S WORD A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah (32:15-20) When the Spirit is given to us from heaven, deserts will become orchards, and orchards will turn into fertile forests. Honesty and justice will prosper in the deserts and orchards. Then justice will produce unending peace and quiet. My people will live in peace, secure and undisturbed, even if hailstones flatten forests and cities. They will have my blessing, as they plant their crops beside streams and let their donkeys roam freely about. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. WE PRAY Let us ask for God’s blessing upon us all today, and upon those who need God’s help in a special way. The reading from Isaiah we have just heard talks about living in peace. What is it like to have a peaceful mind and a peaceful body? Spend some time now doing this guided meditation to bring a sense of peace into your whole self.
