Go forth We pray We gather The Word of God Thursday Week 3 Lent 27 March 2025 May God bless us and protect us and bring us to eternal life. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke (15:1-3) Tax collectors and sinners were all crowding around to listen to Jesus. So the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law of Moses started grumbling, "This man is friendly with sinners. He even eats with them." The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray for those seeking solutions to difficult situations. (pause) God of mercy, grant us the courage to be friendly and welcoming to all those we meet. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Knowing that we are always welcome at God’s table, let us pray. For people who feel unloved or excluded: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For people who long to hear the words of Jesus: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For people who don’t have enough to eat: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For people who work for justice: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For the prayers in our hearts today: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. 44
