RESPOND In our reading, God likens us to trees that will always be green and healthy. Find a space outside your classroom, under a tree, near a garden, or maybe where you can see some beautiful greenery. Spend some time reflecting upon the beauty of our natural world, and say a silent prayer that we can take better care of the planet God gave us. GO OUT May God bless us and protect us and bring us to eternal life. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. LISTEN GATHER Week 4 Lent TUESDAY 1 April 2025 In these days of Lent, as we prepare to celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection, let us pray that we will follow Christ more closely. (pause) Ever-living God, may we trust you in the depths of our hearts and serve you faithfully. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the book of the prophet Jeremiah (17:7-8) The Lord said: I will bless those who trust me. They will be like trees growing beside a stream, Trees with roots that reach down to the water, And with leaves that are always green. They bear fruit every year and are never worried by a lack of rain. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. 47
