Praying Together With Children - 2025

We Pray Let us pray that Christ will lead us from the darkness of sin to the light of life. (pause) O God, may Christ, the light of the world, open our eyes to see those in need and soften our hearts to reach out in love. Amen. We Go Forth We Respond Monday Week 5 Lent 7 April 2025 We Listen A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah (30:23, 26) The Lord will send rain to water the seeds you have planted, and your fields will produce more crops than you need. When that time comes, your cattle will graze in open pastures. On the day the Lord binds up his people’s injuries and heals the wounds he has caused, the moon will be bright as the sun. The light of the sun will be seven times brighter than usual, and it will be like the light of seven days all at once. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Trusting in God’s loving kindness towards us, let us pray for the needs of the world. For scientists who study the cosmos: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For sunshine and rain so crops can grow: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For those who are ill in hospital: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For those who brighten the world with kindness: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. For the prayers in our hearts today: (pause while students offer their prayers aloud) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer. May God bless us and protect us and bring us to eternal life. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 51
