Praying Together With Children - 2025

This video, called ‘Their Sacrifice’, produced by the Bible Society of Australia, highlights 3 main qualities that we can learn from the ANZAC soldiers: courage, mateship and endurance. (Clicking on the bottom right corner of the video will enlarge it to full screen.) After you have watched the video, spend a few moments discussing how you can exhibit these three qualities in your daily lives. We Go into the World On ANZAC Day we remember those who have served our nation in time of war, those who have died and those who have returned. Let us ask God’s blessing. (pause) Lord God, source of all peace, may the Spirit of ANZAC give us courage to strive for peace in the world. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Friday A reading from the first letter of St John (3:16-18) Beloved: We know what love is because Jesus gave his life for us. That's why we must give our lives for each other. If we have all we need and see one of our own people in need, we must have pity on that person, or else we cannot say we love God. Children, you show love for others by truly helping them, and not merely by talking about it. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. We Gather We Listen We Reflect May the peace of Christ dwell in our hearts. Alleluia! Alleluia! May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
