Saint Matthias Wednesday Matthias was chosen to be an apostle to replace Judas after the ascension of Jesus. Let us pray that we may be joyful in faith. (pause) God our Creator, through the prayers of Saint Matthias, may we be happy believing in Jesus and share our faith with all we meet. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Let’s pray... A reading from the second letter of St Paul to Timothy (1:9-10) God saved us and chose us to be his holy people. We did nothing to deserve this, but God planned it because he is so kind. Even before time began God planned for Christ Jesus to show kindness to us. Now Christ Jesus has come to show us the kindness of God. Christ our Saviour defeated death and brought us the good news. It shines like a light and offers life that never ends. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Let’s listen to God’s word... Let’s Reflect... 14 May 2025 Gathered together as God’s holy people, let us thank him for his kindness and pray for those in our school, our families, our community and our world. As we listen to some quiet music, pass an item from your prayer table (eg small cross, prayer stone) around the prayer circle. When you receive the item, make a prayer for peace either aloud or in your heart, before you pass it to the person next to you. May the peace of Christ dwell in our hearts. Alleluia! Alleluia!
